When I first met my now adopted stepson, it didn’t take me long to realize that he had pretty much been left up to his own devices for most of his life, and had no daily schedule whatsoever.  He had suffered a lot of emotional trauma during his young life, and that had left him with an extremely low self-esteem and sense of self worth.  Put all of those things together and you get a child who is not used to bathing, on a regular basis.

Being the ‘smelly kid’ was one of his ways of keeping others at a distance, rejecting them before they had a chance to reject him.  He was very down on himself and didn’t seem to think that he was worthy of being a clean kid.  That is until I found Funny Foam.  Funny Foam is what turned bath time from a hassle in our home, to a time that was thoroughly enjoyed by my oldest son.  He was nine at the time, and the little soap crayons and other such tub toys just didn’t hold his interest, he felt that he was too old for them and I was about ready to pull my own hair out in frustration over our nightly bath battles, until an Internet search lead me to Funny Foam.

It smelled good, he had a blast playing with it, and since he played with it so much while in the tub, he came out of the tub smelling wonderful!  After the first successful trail of Funny Foam, I went right out and bought four more cans and made sure that I always had at least one on hand at all times!  He loved it so much in fact, that when I accidentally had picked up an ‘off brand’ version of the soap he ended up in tears because it just wasn’t the same, and mommy once again put on her shoes and her coat and headed out to the store on a hunt for the real Funny Foam.  I would highly recommend Funny Foam to any family that is struggling with hygiene issues, or is simply looking for some new items to spice up tub time.
