It is not uncommon for me to have no idea what I'd like for Mother's Day. But this year I made life a lot easier for my children. I wanted a "Flip" video camera. It came highly recommended by two fellow "Guatemamas," Sandy and Carla. Carla actually uses hers for her fitness website, "Mizfit."

Here is the first thing that impresses me about this video camera: it is incredibly easy to use. If I wanted a complex, professional video camera, I'd buy one. I wanted something fast and easy to capture those great moments with my family and my on the move 2 1/2 year old daughter.

The second thing that impresses me about this camera is the size: it is small, light and so easy to just pop into your pocket or bag. I had no desire to add any more weight to my ten pound purse/diaper bag.

The "Flip" connects directly to your computer or laptop; the USB connection pops right out of the camera. My gift included an inexpensive USB cord as well, in case you don't want your "Flip" hanging off your desktop hard drive or your laptop.

So you take the video, (I didn't even have to read the directions it was so easy to figure out), pop it into your laptop, and away you go as soon as the "Flip" program is downloaded onto your hard drive. It just takes a couple minutes.

Folks, this is a must have. I'm technically challenged and I love it. And here is the kicker: it takes great videos!
