Oh today I did get a real treat!

My order of Oyin products arrived in the mail for my son Carson’s hair. Though we have been using them for awhile I never tire of the great scents and decadent treatments that the Mixtress Jamyla hand prepares for her loyal customers. Woo Wee! You would think the stuff was for my head and not his!

This story out of Fort Smith, Arkansas just goes to show us why doctors, and other non-adoption professionals should not be making adoptive placements.

 It seems that a birth mother, Angela Floyd of Crawford county, filed a lawsuit is 2006 naming her former Doctor and seeking damages for invasion of privacy. She was also apparently asking for compensatory and punitive damages. The physician, Dr. Samuel Koenig III, gave her private contact and health information

I am an adoptive mom to three great little people. Beyond being an adoptive mom, I am also a sibling to two adoptees, and a birth family member- an aunt to four children placed in closed adoptions. I was also raised by two parents who were in a basic,if not legal sense, abandoned and adopted children. All of these things are a huge part of my experience. Being able to talk about all the things that adoption means in my life will be one of the many positives for me with this new house we have created. I can talk about being a birth family member, and I can talk about being an adoptive mom, and I am not limited by those titles alone when I am here.
