Baby on bus (c) Lynda BernhardtI was working on the next set of twin baby names for my series and discovered that the 2008 baby name statistics are out! Woo-hoo!

Of course, that means that I have a lot of updating to do. All of my information has been based upon the 2007 statistics, so I will be working feverishly on getting my information up to date with the latest statistics.

The baby name Anthony is of Latin origin. I was unable to determine what the baby name is supposed to mean. I checked several sites, and they all report that the meaning of the baby name Anthony is unknown. A reader has since told me that its meaning is worthy of praise according to this site.

Apparently, not knowing the meaning of the baby name Anthony has not affected the popularity of the baby name. In the United States, the baby name Anthony has been in the Top 100 since 1883!
