I hate the title... The mom states the child "hates" her and asked for advise. Hate could be an another face of fear. But Abby gave her the parent OK advise by telling her to visit a "qualified mental health professional".
There is so much missing from this letter. The child is 11 years old and is trying to force the adoptive parent to leave? Leave what? ...the family?
If there is an attachement issue, then it has been going on for 5 years. Surely this isn't the first time the parent has noticed an issue.
