Home How To Adopt a Child Getting Started With Adoption

Baby Names for the Adopted Child After the Adoption

While couples are waiting to adopt a child, one of the fun things they can do is think about what they want to name the child after the adoption. Most hopeful adoptive parents who are adopting a baby will choose their own baby name or will work together with the birth mother to choose a baby name for after the adoption. Even some hopeful adoptive parents who are adopting older children will think about baby names, especially if they plan to adopt a child from another country and want to give the child an American baby name after the adoption.

While some hopeful adoptive couples have always known what baby name they want to give their children after the adoption, many have no idea what baby name to choose. Some might want a baby name that has a religious meaning while others might care more about choosing a baby name that lends itself to a nickname.

Adoption Under One Roof has researched many baby names for you and continues to add more baby names to the list each week. Below is a list of baby names that Adoption Under One Roof has covered on its site, with links to more information about each baby name.

The baby names are divided by topic and gender. Some baby names might fall under more than one topic. All baby names that Adoption Under One Roof has discussed are also provided at the bottom in alphabetical order so you can search for a name easily.

This article will be updated frequently as more baby names are added to the list. Whether you are looking for a baby name that holds an adoption meaning or simply a baby name that sounds pretty, you can find it here.

For additional information on the meanings of baby names, see Quick Baby Names.
