Background

Julia has been writing professionally as a freelance writer for four years covering mainly adoption, foster care, and guardianship issues. Her vast experience was earned during 15 years of serving as a foster and adoptive parent.  As a compensated mentor for new foster adoptive parents and sitting on the board of directors for the Foster Adoptive Family & Support Center.
