Background

I'm an island-dwelling fan of warm weather doing my bit to justify my use of space on the planet from my little spot in the Indian Ocean from where I write and parent my two youngest children, both adopted from Cambodia.

I live in Seychelles, a small island nation about 1000 miles off the coast of East Africa ... go to Madagascar and take a left ... with my son Sam, and daughter, Cj.

I've been writing professionally on adoption-related issues since 2005 and am a strong advocate for keeping the option of adoption open for the children of the world. My writing work also covers politics, travel, humor and fiction, and a book of short stories, "Papaya ... and other seeds", is to be released later this year.
